Henry Pélicier ...

God who wants peace on our land and freedom,
That all men are brothers in Christ
their elder brother!

Lord and Father of all men,
workers make us your peace!
Christ, Savior of all men,
builders make us love!

This text, created the tune of "Ode to Joy." was composed by Henry: he chanted this rereading of his life, and the Ode to Joy will be played by Leon CINNAMON communion. All his life, Henry was a great music lover.

Henry was born August 14, 1916 at Meinier Switzerland. But his parents and his family were from Carpentras, where he spent his youth.

He completed his secondary studies at the Petit Séminaire Avignon and returned to the Oblates in 1934: this is the time when "the epic White" attracts many candidates in IMO. He made his novitiate at Our Lady of Good Help , including Marcel and Fernand Ayrinhac ESTEVE with which the path will cross often. He pronounced his first vows on 1 November 1935. He was sent to Rome where he studied from November 1935 to August 1938: Bachelor of scripture.

For his military service he is sent to the East, the monastery of St John of Chonya where he remained until 1940. In addition to anecdotes about this time "military", he will keep a strong taste for the Middle East and its music.

Back to Light, he pronounced his vows Perpetual February 2, 1941 and was ordained a priest May 23, 1943.

Where hatred remains, that we make love!
Where there is injury, pardon us to put!
Lord and Father of all men,
workers make us your peace!
Christ, Savior of all men,
make us builders love

This will be his best years in Corsica ... Too beautiful? He spends the work of Vocations to the Abbot Pierre PINELLI and resumes at the disposal of his superiors for a new mission.

Where doubt lingers, that we make the faith!
Do we know that on the road,
Jesus Christ walks with us?

Lord and Father of all men,
workers make us your peace!
Christ, Savior of all men,
builders make us love!

None not speak, but the suffering was still deep in him.

Where discord grows, we do individually!
Where reign lies, we will put the truth!
