Mohamed ERRAAD is exposed for the first time on the gallery walls.


Mohamed Erraad painted since childhood. A Elhanchane where he was born, near Essaouira, he discovers a self-taught various painting techniques. He uses seven colors including yellow (often the background of his paintings), blue sea and sky, white, green, red and black.

Hometown Chiadma tribe north of Essaouira, from the family of the Brotherhood of Khoudam Regraga, his world is nourished by oral tradition, religious festivals and rites of passage.

The imaginary tumultuous of his painting is populated by fantastical characters and animals often pressed against each other as levitating in a single dance.

At the crossroads between outsider art and folk art, the spontaneous creations, immediate Mohamed Erraad lead us into a singular world born in southern Morocco, the crossroads between cultures Arab, Berber and African.
